Batzra is a cooperative Moshav in the Sharon area north of the city of Raanana that belongs to the Hof Hasharon Regional Council.
The settlement was established in 1946, by the Rasco Company for discharged soldiers from the British Army. The name of the settlement is taken from the city of Batzra in Iraq, where the founders fought in British military uniforms. In its early years it was a cooperative agricultural settlement, and in 1948 it became a workers’ moshav in the form of a cooperative society
